Established for over three years in the Marais district and opening a second gallery on Île de Ré in April 2026, ELHABIBI Gallery considers art as a form of collective therapy — a space of shared resonance that nurtures artists, gallerists, collectors, and visitors alike.
It is within this perspective that the gallery presents the work of Eric Citerne, an artist with strong institutional recognition and a solid presence on the art market, whose practice stands out for the singularity of its technique, gesture, and conceptual depth. Conceived as a complete experience, the exhibition unfolds through a dedicated scenography and didactic approach, guiding the viewer through an immersive and sensitive journey.
Bringing together several periods of the artist’s work, the exhibition unfolds under the sign of nisus — a vital force through which forms emerge, endure, and regenerate. The recent Nisus series affirms this momentum, while the Vestiges and earlier works reveal its traces, transformations, and renewals. Each body of work appears as a phase within a single movement: a continuous, almost subterranean energy that shifts, renews itself, and reshapes matter.
